How to Verify Your Identity (ID Requirements)
To ensure the safety of our community and comply with Australian financial regulations, Brolly requires all users to verify their identity before accessing loans.
Here is what you need to know to get verified quickly.
1. Accepted Documents
We currently accept only the following two forms of identification:
Australian Driver's License (Physical card only)
Australian Passport (Physical document only)
2. What We Do NOT Accept
To prevent fraud and ensure accurate verification, we cannot accept:
❌ Medicare Cards (We do not currently support Medicare for verification).
❌ Screenshots (Images taken from apps like Service NSW or myGov).
❌ Digital Wallets (Apple Wallet or Google Wallet versions).
❌ Photocopies or scans of your ID.
3. Why can’t I use a screenshot or Digital ID?
We know digital IDs are convenient, but for financial security, they are not yet sufficient for our verification process.
Our system uses advanced scanning technology to detect physical security features, such as holograms, micro-text, and light reflection, which are present on physical cards.
Screenshots: These are easily forged and lack the data needed to prove the ID is genuine.
Digital IDs: While valid for police checks, current third-party verification systems often require the physical card to pass "liveness" and anti-fraud checks.
4. Tips for a Successful Scan
Use the physical card: Place your ID on a flat surface.
Avoid glare: Make sure there is no reflection from overhead lights covering your name or photo.
Check the edges: Ensure all four corners of the card are visible in the camera frame.
