KYC, Privacy, and Security in Plain English

Edited

Hi

We know “checks” and “KYC” can sound scary or confusing. Here’s what they mean in simple terms.

Why we ask for ID

We ask you to verify your identity so that:

  • We know it’s really you

  • We’re not lending to fake or stolen identities

  • We can meet Australian law and keep the platform safe

Why we connect to your bank

When you link your bank account:

  • We see your real income and main expenses

  • We get a clearer picture of what you can actually afford

  • We can say “yes” to the right amount, not a guess

You connect through secure partners. We don’t see or store your online banking password.

Your privacy

We use your information to:

  • Assess your application

  • Manage your loan

  • Improve how the platform works

We don’t sell your banking data to random third parties.

We do all this because we want:

  • You to borrow safely, and

  • Lenders to feel confident supporting borrowers like you

👉 Next step:
When you’re ready, link your bank in the app and go through the checks. It’s a key part of keeping the community safe.
